Dear Margaret,

We shall be waiting to receive you.

King Henry

King Henry has sent a coach to come to carry me to the palace.  As I stand at the entrance one of the servants greeted me and another escorted me to the Receiving Room. .  My name is Margaret of Austria.  Would you please be so kind and let King Henry know that I have arrived so that I may be announced

I was informed that Margaret of Austria had arrived. I told the servant to open the door and let her in.

A servant came out to me and escorted me to King Henry.. I curtsey.

. King Henry, I am happy to see you. How are you?

. Your Majesty, I curtsey, . it is my honour to be here with you. It has been quite some time since I have seen you last. As usual traveling always seem trouble but this voyage was smooth. I am happy to be here and I am glad that you are well. May I have a seat?

A servant helped me with the seat. . Thank you your Majesty. I would love a little drink. Things are well in Austria. Being the governor of the Netherlands can be difficult but fulfilling. I am happy to be able to help my people. I miss my husband and daughter.. I am sorry for bringing down the mood with my dad story. I must think of happier things. How is my dear Anne. Oh forgive me Queen Anne.

I smiled at Margaret as she took a seat and had some drink.

"It is nice seeing you Margaret. I cannot imagine what it must be like to rule in the Netherlands but I am sure you are perfect for your people. How are your husband and daughter? Queen Anne is quite well, she is currently with child.

I smile kindly at King Henry. I took a sip of wine holding back tears

. Thank you for asking your Majesty but my beloved Juana has died. I was with child but alas my baby daughter was stillborn. I am coming to grips with it. But I am soon to marry the Duke of Savoy Philbert II. I hope that he has a good man. But no more sad thoughts. Queen Anne is with child. I am so happy for you both. How dare her mother and father. She also has a brother and sister how are they.?

A servant came in as King Henry was entertaining Margaret of Austria. He whispered to the King and handed him a letter.

Dear King Henry

I am writing to you of my good news. I will be returning to England soon and Prince Alexei Olegovna of Ukraine will be coming with me to meet you and to get you blessings for our marriage. I am very happy and excited for you to meet him. I think that you will agree that this will be a match. I know that Queen Anne, Father and Uncle has to be there at the initial meeting.

Mary Boleyn

I watched as a servant hands Henry VIII a letter. He read it silently. I hope that there is nothing wrong.

I looked up at Margaret as I was handed the letter and then I speak to her.

"You were asking how Anne's siblings were, well I just received word from Mary Boleyn that she is coming her with Price Alexei of the Ukraine to seek my blessing for the wedding.

Henry handed me a letter.  Then I looked at him.

. I know of Mary Boleyn.  I wondered why did her father not send her to me like he sent Anne. Are they not close? I am happy to hear that she has been able to find a good man of high station.  Will you give your blessings for her to marry?  I hope that you and Anne will.  Do you think that the rest of her family will give their blessings? How is Mary and her husband King Gustav? How is Charles and his wife, Katherine.  You told me that Katherine is with child.  Did she give birth?

One of the servants came to hand King Henry a letter.

Your Majesty,, King Henry,

I am Anne Brandon. Father and Katherine wanted you to know that Katherine has given birth to a healthy baby boy. They have not named the child as of yet. They wanted you to be the first person to know of their happiness.

Another servant arrive to give King Henry a letter.


King Henry,

My name is Princess Agnetha Svensson. I am the sister of King Gustav. Mary is well and comfortable. Gustav wishes a physician that he is familiar with to look after Mary from now on. I wanted to tell you that however we can not find Katherine. She left me a letter saying that she has gone to speak to Duchess Elizabeth Hampton. Katherine did not fully trust Elizabeth. So Elizabeth wanted to speak to Katherine to see if they can find a way to peacefully get along. I have not seen nor heard anything from her since. We are starting to get worried. We are doing everything we can to find her. I just wanted to let you know of the situation here. I will continue to keep writing to keep you informed until she is back safe and sound.

I looked at Margaret of Austria as she finished reading the letter.

"Mary Boleyn is of kind heart and she is not as close as can be with Anne. She does seem very happy with this young prince. I am still unsure as to whether I want to give my blessing, but he is coming here to England where I can meet him myself. The family will no doubt approve if I do. Katherine, did give birth I believe.

I took the letter from the servant and saw that it was from Anne Brandon. I read through it and smiled, then whilst sitting at my desk, I picked up a quill and wrote my reply.

Dear Anne Brandon,

It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I am pleased to hear that Charles and Katherine have had a healthy boy. I give them my blessing on the birth. I am sure that whatever name they choose, will be befitting to that of a Duke's son.

King Henry

I had finished writing my reply to Anne Brandon when another servant came in with another letter. This one was from Agnetha Svensson. I did not know her, but saw that she was the sister of King Gustav. I picked up my quill again and began to write.

Dear Agnetha,

I am delighted to receive this letter from you. I do not believe that we have met previously, but it is an honour. I am pleased to hear that Mary is well, for should anything happen to her, I would be furious.
I do hope that you can find more information regarding my daughter Katherine. She is however strong of heart and I am sure she knows what she is doing. If I do not receive word within the week, the English fleet shall be setting out to find her. I trust that Gustav will do the same? My daughter will not be hurt and if this Elizabeth Hampton is behind it, then she will suffer at the hands of the English.

King Henry

I sense that the letter Henry just received is not good news. . Henry, is there anything I can do to help. The blood has left your face. Let me help you if I can.

Seeing how Margaret wanted to help me, I handed her the letter so that she could read it.

"This letter is why I am currently upset. If you read through it Margaret, you will see why.

When I read the letter all was made clear.

. Well now I understand the situation. It is shameful if this Elizabeth Hampton has anything to do with Katherine's disappearance. I agree that all who is involved shall be met with the might of the English troops. It is no wonder that you are upset. I have not had the privilege of making her acquaintance but I would do the same. If there is anything that you need it is yours.

Dear King Henry,

I spoke with Gustav and he agreed with you.  We share your thoughts about her. We will keep you informed of our efforts in locating Katherine.  Mary has not been told about this and we will not tell her.  Katherine and I have become friends and she trusted me enough to write me the letter because we did not trust Elizabeth Hampton.  So that if she did not come back it may have been because of Elizabeth.  Gustav wanted me to insure you that we are doing everything that we can to find her.

Another letter came for Henry and again he has a strange look upon his face. I hope that this letter is not of ill news.
