Investiture Ceremony for Prince Edward

I led Edward to the main green where ceremony was to take place and I saw all had gathered there and now before we could begin I waited for Anne and for the Scottish monarchs to arrive.

My sisters and myself arrive for thy celebrations.

I arrive and wait with thy husband on thy castle green.

I see the Queen of Scots arrive at thy ceremony and I greet her.

"Welcome your Grace thank you for coming to thy ceremony tell me is your husband attending? My lady wife will join us soon.

I cursty to King Richard.

: Your Grace, he will be here shortly. You must be very proud of your son.

I arrive at thy ceremony and I go and stand beside my wife.

"Sorry i am late Margaret you look splendid" I say nodding to the king as he greets us.

I beam at my Lord husband and take his arm.

I stand patiently and wait to be acknowledged. My betrothed will be with me shortly.

I arrive for thy celebrations and join with my eldest daughters.

I welcome Lord Thomas Grey to the festivities and I also noticed that Elizabeth Woodville had also arrived.

"Good day master Grey I trust that thee is well and welcome Lady Woodville it is a pleasure to see thee again." I say greeting them both whilst standing with the Scottish monarchs.

I wait at my parents side. I am getting weary.

I bow to King Richard and Queen Anne.

I thank thee both for thy opportunity to attend. Do ye know where my betrothed is at all? I was expecting Lady Jane Shore to be here by now.

I smile at King Richard and Queen Anne. I curtsy politely with my daughters.

Thank thee your graces, we will stay for a little while and be on our way back to Grafton tonight with your permissions of course. I do not want to over stay our welcome.

I see Thomas Grey arrive and I greet him.

"Master Grey glad you could make it here and I do believe your Jane will arrive soon she is just completing something then she will join us and as for you lady Woodville you do look stunning today and of course you may leave whenever you wish my lady."

I look over at my uncle. When is he going to ask thee for thy dance?
The musicians are playing delightful melodies and my sisters are dancing with a couple of nobles that approached earlier. I do hope he asks thee soon so I can leave and start to prepare Queen Anne's bath and other luxuries for thy night.

I see my niece Elizabeth arrive at the celebrations and with my fingers I indicate for her to approach me as I sat on the throne as my wife dance with the Scots king.

My gaze rests on my uncle King Richard and he motions for thee to come over to him. I curtsey to Queen Margaret and her ladies and gracefully walk over to where he is sitting on his throne. Thy attendants wait a little back with sweet treats and fruit on trays and copious goblets of wine. As I have already taken two this evening I decline a third as I do not want to be too lightheaded, especially for dancing.
I arrive, stand in front of my uncle and curtsey.

I see Elizabeth approach and curtsy.

"Elizabeth I do believe you wanted a dance tonight then please let us dance as my wife is also dancing. Have you enjoyed the ceremony and celebrations niece? I say taking her hand to the dancefloor.

I suppress the chills on thine skin as my uncle takes my hand.

Indeed uncle. It has been much a success and ye look splendid tonight. Hopefully there will be many more dancing and merriment?

I look out of thy corner of thine eye and see thy Stanley's emerge from thy west tower.
Thy musicians begin a slow luleby and I feel my uncles thumb carressing my fingers.

I smile at my niece as I lead her to the dance floor.

"I thank you Elizabeth and you look splendid too Elizabeth. There are to be more dances too and did you enjoy seeing your mother? I say seeing the Stanley's return.

I smile demurely at my uncle.

I must thank thee for allowing my Lady mother to attend such events uncle, I think she misses them. I know she is content at her old home now and understands that she can never be at court on a permanent basis. I have missed our discussions too. 

I see Lady Jane Shore arrive and stand with thy Stanley's. My lady mother and younger sisters wave farewell and leave with a small escort. The air is changing. Lady Mother wants to be home before thy rains we have feared for days, begin.

I smile back at my niece as we danced together.

"I thought you would want to see your mother so I invited her. She is welcome to visit court of course even if not permanently. You enjoyed all our discussions Elizabeth? I say seeing how well she danced.

I gaze into thine uncles blue eyes.

Ye would allow my Lady mother to attend most state events? Ye do not know how much this means to thee. Do ye enjoy our discussions? I am perfecting the cello now. And thee are thy best dancer in thy kingdom uncle.

We finish thy dance as thy music ends, we do not take our eyes off each other.

I look back into my niece's eyes.

"If it does please you Elizabeth I will invite your mother to some state events as I do know you miss her very much but of course it would only be for the event nothing else. Our discussions are very interesting and yes I do like them a great deal. You will have to play something for me and Anne on your cello and show me what you have learnt Elizabeth and thank you for your kind words you dance very well yourself." I say to her as the music stops and our dance finishes.

I smile serenely into my uncles eyes.

I would love to uncle. Would ye care for another dance or shall I let thee dance with one of thy other Duchess's that have their eyes on ye?

I curtsy politely with a cheeky wink.
