King Henry's Study

I had travelled to Hampton Court as King Henry wanted to see the baby that we had named after him. Anne had come with me and Katherine as she wanted to meet the King. I sent the servant ahead to instruct his majesty that we were here and I waited patiently with the ladies to be allowed permission to enter.

Father, Hampton Court is beautiful. I am nervous.

I heard that Charles Brandon was here and so I let them in and with Charles was his daughter Anne.

Father and I are at the court of King Henry VIII. This is my first time at Hampton Court Palace. It is very beautiful. Father knew the palace well. I followed Father and there sat King Henry. I curtsey.

Good day Your Majesty.

I smiled at Lady Anne Brandon.

"Lady Brandon, it is an honour to welcome you to court. I trust that you had a safe journey here?

Father and I entered the room. When I saw the King I curtsey
Your Majesty.  I thank you for the invitation to visit.  The journey was good.  I enjoy looking at the countryside

I smiled at Anne Brandon.

"I am pleased to hear that you have had a safe journey here Lady Brandon. Why have you never visited court before?

I am a little nervous.

Your Majesty, the way here we traveled to get here was beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to see Hampton Palace. I regret not coming here before to meet you. I was away for a little while but I hope that I can come to court another time

I hope that I will make Father proud. I do not want King Henry to think I'll of me. I want to give a good impression. I smile at Father and the baby. I hope that the King will be pleased that the baby is his namesake.

I smiled at Anne Brandon.

"Any family member of Charles Brandon is always welcome here at my court. Did you know that this Palace once belonged to Cardinal Wolsey? I took it off of him when he committed his treason. I am sorry to say this, but I do not recall hearing the baby's name?
