"Yes, I should love that, Your Majesty." Queen Jane smiled sweetly. She played at Wolf Hall when she was young with her siblings.

"I am prepared to go, Your Majesty." Queen Jane commented.

"Great then let us go there now. I said to her as we headed for the archery field.

Queen Jane followed the King. It was a lovely day with flowers in bloom.

We arrived at the archery field and the bows had been laid out ready for us.

"Please, show me what you can do Jane.

So Queen Jane went to get a bow and arrow and she made her place a few feet away from the dart board and she aimed......

I noticed how well Jane aimed and when she released the arrow, it was very close to the centre.

I clapped as I watched her closely.

"That was a very fine shot Jane, may I advise that you just adjust you position a little. Let me show you. I say to her as I went over to her and placed my arms on hers gently.

How gentle Henry can be, thought Queen Jane. He really was sweet and yet, he was considered a monster by the Roman Catholic Church for what he did to Catherine of Aragon and the Lady Mary with Anne Boleyn. One had to tread carefully with this man. Very, very carefully and Queen Jane is doing that remarkably well. She knows that he is her King. Look what happened to Anne. She needs to give this man a son. Just give him a son. Just give him a son. This kept going through her mind. Day and night but she kept an even keel. Jane Seymour was nobody's fool. SHE would suceed where two other wives failed. God help her.

I touched Jane softly and helped her to position her bow.

"Try now Jane and remember concentrate on the target then release.

'Yes, Your Majesty,' said Queen Jane.

Queen Jane smiled at the King.

I smiled back at Jane as she prepared to show me what she could do with regards to archery.

Queen Jane showed her lord and husband her best.

I was impressed at what Jane showed me.
"Jane, that was quite impressive, I know I showed you the stance, but I must ask, where did you learn such archery skills?

"Mostly from my brother Thomas and also Edward. They are brilliant at archery, Your Majesty." Queen Jane remarked

"Of coarse, Your Majesty." Queen Jane said.

Queen Jane followed the King.

We arrived at the aviary and as we approached, the guard opened the door. I led Jane in and we walked to a beautiful white hawk that was on a perch. It had the cleanest of feathers.

"What do you think of this fine bird, Jane?

"I think it is a fine bird indeed, so refined of a bird, very majestic, like Your Majesty." Queen Jane remarked.

I smiled at Jane.

"I thank you for your compliment Jane. The bird, that you see here, consider it as a gift from me to you.

'What a beautiful bird. Why thank you Your Majesty.' She did not care for falconry overmuvh but she would cherish the bird. It would be well taken care of for it ony deserved the best of kindess and gentleness.
