Anne Brandon Arriving Home

Anne had sent word that she was soon to be home. It had been a while since I had last seen her and I was very interested to catch up with her and find out what she had been doing. I waited in the main courtyard with Katherine to greet her upon arrival.

I see Father and Katherine as I arrive. They both look happy. Katherine is glowing and Father is proud that soon he shall be a father.. Finally I am home. I smile and hug them both. . Hello Father, Katherine. You look amazing. I hear that you will deliver soon.

I see Anne come towards us. She gives me a hug. . Hello dear Anne. How are you. Well you look beautiful. Yes I am to have the child soon. Charles does not care for the mid wife . So he wants you here to help me with the delivery.

I have the servant take my things to my chambers. . Well Katherine are you ready to give birth. I will be there with you the whole time holding your hand. Just keep your eyes on me and if you need to squeeze my hand. Alright. Are you fine out here. Some fresh air is good for you. Whenever you wish we can go inside. Father you look pale. Breathe. Are you feeling fine. ? .

I smile at my daughter as she arrived.

"Anne, I thank you for your concern and I am so glad that you are here. You do not need to worry I am okay, I am just a little cold but nothing else. I am so glad that you will be here to assist Katherine with the birth. How was your journey?

. The voyage was rough. But it was for the most part fine. Father perhaps you should drink something hot. It may help you feel better. Katherine is there anything I can do for you right now. You must relax alright and so must you Father. I can watch over both of you. I smiled at Father and Katherine.

I looked at my wife and at my daughter and smiled.

"I shall go and rest and make myself a hot drink too as I await news of the birth. Katherine, I am glad that Anne is here now and in here with you. I want her to stay with you the whole time as that midwife, I do not trust her to deliver our son safely.

Smiling and Father and Katherine. . I will see to it in your stead to make sure that things go well. Now Father get much needed sleep. I will be here when you wake.

. Thank you very much Anne and I appreciate your support. Yes Charles please get some rest. Anne is here so she will take care of me.

. Okay Katherine I will find out where she is and bring her to you. . I hurry off to find the mid wife.

Anne went to find the mid wife.   . Duchess Katherine you are soon to have this baby.  Now I want to push hard.  Push mi lady.  Now here is your son.  My he is a healthy baby boy .  I place him in the arms of Lady Anne.   . Duchess Katherine you just rest.  

I woke later in the day with hope that there would be good news for me with regards to the delivery of the baby. I was awaiting news of the birth.

I went to my Father who was waiting to hear news about Katherine. I saw him and I had the baby in my arms.  So I handed the baby to him  . Father, Katherine is lying quietly in the other room.  I let her rest and I thought that I would come to see you and let you know that you have a beautiful son and I have a baby brother.   I say smiling to my father.

I want to just rest for a little bit. I know that my baby boy is safe with Anne and Charles. I know that he knows that our son has come into the world healthy and strong.

I smiled at Anne as she entered the room holding my son in her arms.

"I have a son, what wonderful news. I am so pleased that you were there to help Katherine with the safe delivery. Thank you Anne. How is Katherine?

I came into the room were Father sat. He was smiling at me as I brought his son to him. . Well Father here is your baby boy. Is he not beautiful. Strong. I left Katherine in her chambers and she is sleeping. She has had a busy day bringing this little one into the world.

I watched my father as he looked down at the baby. He seems very proud of the new addition to our family. . You look like a proud father. I believe that Katherine would like a visit from you but like you said she should rest. I will be able to do whatever I can to help her until she gets her strength up.

I smiled at Anne.

"I am indeed very proud to be holding this baby close to me. I will visit Katherine after she has had some well deserved rest.

. Father I am truly happy for you and Katherine. She is a good woman. If you want I can check on her perhaps she is awake. She will be happy to see you with your son. I leave my father to see if Katherine is doing fine.

Anne comes in to see me. I smile at her though I am still a little tired. . Anne thank you for being here with me. I am glad that I was not alone and I am sure that Charles is as well. By the by how is Charles. I assume that he has our son and he is happy. He wanted a son and now he finally has one. And you are here. Our family is complete. Will Charles come to see me soon.
