In Labour With a Prince

It had been hours since Elizabeth had gone into labour. This would be our first child together and I very much hoped that it would be my son and heir that I had desired. I waited patiently for news.

I yell in pain. I hope that this a boy child, one that he wants so badly. It has been hours of this. Then finally the physician put into my arms a healthy baby. I want Philip to see and hold the child. For I am truly tired. I ask that my husband come in.

I had been informed by the maid that Elisabeth had given birth and that she wanted me to go in. The door was opened for me and as I entered I could see Elisabeth holding a baby in her arms.

"Are you alright, my love?

I was very tired after giving birth but I saw my beloved enter the room. He looks very concerned. . Yes my love I am well. Just tired. I want to introduce to you, your son would you like to hold him. Here my little one meet your father. . I present the child to Philip.

I kissed my wife softly then I held my son as she handed him to me.

"Hello my dear boy, you are very handsome. What do you think we should name our son and future king, Elisabeth?

I was a little bit tired but I spoke to my husband. Tell me love what name do you think would fit a future King. I am quite sure that you have thought about names for a male child. So what are your suggestions.

I gathered my thought for a moment.

"I think that we should name him Balthasar Charles, what do you think?

I thought about this. . Tell me my love how did came upon this name. It is truly a grand one

. Well my love it is a fine name. Balthazar Charles it is. A strong baby boy. We did well beloved. I smile at him

I smiled back at Elisabeth.

"We did very well. I guess the name came to me following the story of the three kings, have you heard it?

Holding our son. I look at Philip.

. No I have not heard of the story but it is a strong name. Well my beloved you shall be Prince Balthazar Charles.

I smiled at Elisabeth and kissed her softly on her cheek and smiled at the baby.

. Prince Balthazar meet your father. I hand the baby to Philip
