"These tulips are indeed amazing and I hope to fill the garden with many more of them to this country as well. It is so nice that your parents named you after them and it is a very fine name. You must have had quite a good education to be so gifted in many different languages my lady. It is always good to be able to speak many I find.

You are correct, my family do indeed know yours and you have probably heard of my mother Joanna of Castile and her husband Phillip? I am also Holy Roman Emperor, Archduke of Austria, King of Spain and King of Italy and Netherlands as well. A vast empire I cover and my family have only recently come to the throne as well.

Having your garden aligned with tulips will be grand. Especially ones of different hues. My parents told me about your parents. Being family. My parents did insist on my education being well rounded. Music and languages among other things. You are very kind. Having a vast empire sounds difficult. Having to be a leader of many lands and people must be a daunting task. If I can I would like to be of any help to you that I can. Tell me your Grace what types of things do you enjoy? I enjoy learning.

"I always find that education is very useful and to learn many differents subjects can only help all of us. There has recently been a new music school opened in Germany with some of the great work of the musicians of the court. I do love the arts, they are inspirational and very enjoyable but I do also like ships too. Have you heard recently of the good news coming from Sweden?

I am glad that you like that I was taught many languages. My father insisted that I was taught many things. I love music. I know how to piano and violin. It would be nice see . I have not heard anything about Sweden but please do tell me.

I do believe that we are a very good match to be wed, do you agree? The news from Sweden, is that Queen Mary has given birth to the heir, a Princess Elena. Of course the Swedish law states that the eldest child can inherit however here in Spain, and the whole of the Holy Roman Empire, the eldest son inherits. I do not approve of the eldest child inheriting the throne as it is always the duty of a man to be Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain, I am sorry if this displeases you Isabella.

Sire, I love music and I can play the piano and violin. I have some knowledge of the harp. Would you join me in playing some music. I do agree that we will make a good match. I can not believe that I may one day be the Holy Roman Empress. This is wonderful news from Sweden. They have chosen a beautiful name for her. Her name means shining light or radiant. I do apologize I am not trying to seem to know everything. Do you know who are the monarchs of Sweden. Would you like to go to Sweden to see the young princess? I understand that our laws believe that the first male child shall ascend to the throne. It is different that decided for the first born child shall to ascend. It has always been the male child ascends the throne. Let us hope that our first child is a son.

I looked at Isabella.

"It pleases me to hear that you like music and that you are talented on a couple of instruments yourself. I did hear the news from Sweden and I am very pleased for the young King and Queen. If you were wondering if I knew who they were then yes I do Queen Mary and King Gustav. Mary is the beloved sister of King Henry VIII of England whom had dwellings with my ancestors in the past regarding his great matter.

I do believe that Spain needs to be represented at this union for it would seem rude not to attend despite the fact that they have different laws around the succession there, but it is there country. I do hope that you will be able to provide me with and heir Isabella. I have decided that I will come with you to Sweden buy please inform the King and Queen that I will arrive shortly as I have a certain matter to attend to before joining you, please go ahead and I will follow you there.

I believe that our union will be a blessing and I hope that we are wed soon if this is agreeable to you. Sire if you wish for me to go I will do so happily. I believe that I will have a gift for the infant princess. I have a wonderful friend who is a musician. He has written music for me before. If I may I would like to have my friend pinn a lullaby for the child. He is a master musician. I could commission a gift of music. If you are to follow me I will ask my friend to send it when it is completed. Is that to your liking?

"We shall have a very blessed union together and upon your return from Sweden I feel that would be a good for us to be wed. Your gift is a perfect idea but if I may ask may you before you take the fine gift for the princess may I please hear it first?

I nervously asked the maid to get the violin from my chambers. After a few minutes she returned and I smiled and nodded.

Your Grace I would love for you to hear it. One moment I have my violin with me.

I slowly begin to play the melody and the music poured from the violin. I continued to play with the rhythm of my heart beat. I finished and as I put my violin and bow down I looked at him to see his reaction.

I hope that you enjoyed it. What do you think? Is it suitable for the princess

Isabella finished playing and as she did I clapped my hands.

"That is a beautiful melody Isabella and I do think it is the perfect gift for the Princess from you. I am afraid that I cannot attend with you as I have so things I must see too, but send my greetings and congratulations to the King and Queen.

I reached Spain. I had written to Charles letting him know that I have arrived home. A servant came with a carriage to take me back to the palace. I asked a maid where Charles was I found out that he was in the garden. He was in the same spot that we met in. I could not believe that I would find him in the garden. A maid escorted me to where Charles was sitting.

Hello your Grace. I have just return from Sweden. I gave the King and Queen your congratulations for the birth of the Swedish princess. I am happy that I went there. Sweden is a beautiful country. The King and Queen were kind. The voyage was calming. But I am happy to be here and to see you. How are you this day?
