Guest Chamber for Elizabeth Hampton

I had left the feast early as the arrival of my sister really had disturbed my mood. I was with Matthew getting dressed and putting on my red pendant contemplating what I would do next when Matthew turned and told me he had some new information. I turned to look at him.

"Yes, what is it?

I was with Elizabeth in her chamber after we had left the feast. I had new information for her that I had just learnt.

"Let us forget about your sister and the Princess for now. I have just heard that Queen Mary of Sweden has retired to her chamber following a certain moment of feeling unwell. Get inside her head and Sweden's King will also be under your control for he admires her. I will stand guard of course.

I looked at William for a moment and he was right.

"You are so right. I could control the monarch of Sweden. I will go and offer her my healing remedy and I want you to stand guard for me. Later we will deal with Rebecca.

I had returned to Elizabeth's chamber and awaited her for information about her next moves. I was quite pleased with how recent events had gone and that I had got the young Duchess intrigued.

I had met with the physician who had come to see Mary and I had escorted him into the chamber as Elizabeth wanted to see him.

I had returned to my bedchamber quite pleased with my recent visit and having got everyone interested in what I was planning. Matthew had already arrived and had escorted the physician in.

I entered and looked at them both.

"My plan is going along nicely, they are all intrigued by my visit there and now the King of Sweden and King Marius have both gone to see her too. I say as I looked at the physician.

"You have done well and now I need you to go to and see Mary and give them the news that she is pregnant, however as you may well know because she is with child there is a certain treatment for her sickness which will make her better. I have prepared here a nice remedy for the Queen that will make her fully recover and be well again, you will give it to her and do not hesitate. I say giving him the remedy as the physician nodded his head to me before leaving.

I smiled to myself and then sat down with Matthew.

"Soon the King of Sweden will also be under my control. As soon as the remedy is given to the Swedish Queen, she will of course be better but as soon as she touches King Gustav I will have the DNA i need to control him.

I have sent a letter to Elizabeth Hampton. The servant gave her the letter.

Dear Elizabeth,

I was captured by a pirates but I was able to get them to release me. I wanted to let you know that I have found Queen Marie's daughter , Princess Kayla,. I will be sailing to Romania soon and I will have the Princess and her companion with me.

Elizabeth Bathory

My servant came into the room with a letter for me and she handed it to me. I noticed that it was from Elizabeth Bathory. I opened it and read it.

I then picked up my quill and replied.

Dear Elizabeth,

Captured by pirates? How did that happen? I am pleased to hear that you have found both Princess Kayla and her companion. Please make sure that the Princess has her hands tied behind her back at all times and I do hope that you will be sensible and cover her eyes, for you know I am not fond of people knowing my location.

You say you were captured by pirates, you know that I do not like this and that it is likely that they will demand money. I want to personally deal with this pirate who captured you and punish them for you are a huge asset to me. I want you to bring this pirate to me. I don't care how you do it, but you will tie her hands behind her back to and bring her to me for what she has done to you.

Elizabeth

One of the servants came to me and asked me to follow him. I knocked on the chamber door. The maid servant came and escorted me to Elizabeth Hampton. . Hello Elizabeth. How are you? So this is where you are staying. I would like to meet host. May I meet King Marius and Princess Christine.

The maid opened the door and let Marie in. I turned to look at her.

"Welcome Marie, glad you could make it here to Romania. I am quite well myself, been very busy. Marie, I am sure at some point, you can meet them both.

. Thank you Elizabeth. I can imagine how busy you are. I am well despite the weather on the voyage here. I let my daughter go on a trip with one of my trusted ladies. So I thought that while she is away I would come here. Did you ever meet Kayla . I am sorry. I shall message her to let her know where I am. I am truly sorry if you thought that I would purposely hurt you in that matter. You are my friend and I am sorry for your pain. Hopefully I may be able to see the grounds and perhaps meet King Marius and Princess Christine Elizabeth looks to happy. I do not know what to make of this. I want so much to believe that she is telling me the truth

. Elizabeth thank you for asking me to come here.  King Marius does know that I am here, yes.   Well when shee returns from the vacation.  She was with her favorite companion.  I will message her to come to Romania instead of Luxembourg.  If it reaches her I will ask her come here with me . You can meet her then.  She is a very lovely young lady.  So may I personally give King Marius my appreciation

I smiled at Marie as she spoke. I knew what Elizabeth would likely ask her but I ensured that I kept quiet on the matter.

I smile.  . Hopefully you will be able to meet her.  How are you?  This must be Matthew Brown.  It is nice to meet you.  You have known each other long.  Elizabeth does not trust easily, if I remember correctly, but she seems comfortable with you.  Elizabeth you have asked me to come.  Are you going to keep your promise to me?

I looked at Marie.

"Matthew and I have been great companions. I trust him. Now Marie, of course I will release you from your curse. If you want to be released, that bottle on the table, just drink it and you are free of the curse.

Marie looks Matthew and Elizabeth with distrust. I do not know what is really in this drink. There seems to be a "but" coming behind this. What is she trying to do. Is this something that will get me to do her will I am afraid to ask what is going on.

I see that Marie was hesitant at drinking from the bottle. I looked towards her.

"Marie, we have been friends for a long time and you do know that I always keep my word. That bottle will free you from the curse that is upon you.

I hear her speak but I also know that she gives anything to anyone without getting something in return I take a sip. Tell me what do you want me to do for you.

I looked at Marie.

"Tell me, how well do you know King Gustav of Sweden?

I looked at Elizabeth and I knew that she would have an alternative motive.  

. I know very little about him.   I was going to go to Sweden for his wedding to Princess Marry Tudor,  you know King Henry's youngest sister.  His favorite sister.  I hear that he is a very handsome man and from what I understand he adores Mary.  Why do you ask?  Elizabeth Hampton I would not want to harm Queen Mary for anything in the world.  You are playing with fire if you want to get King Gustav.   You should get that thought right out your head.  That is unless you want the French and  English people after you.  She is beloved by the people there.  If you think that King Henry will not find you wherever you are will be sadly mistaken.  I know that King Henry will not rest until he finds whoever has hurt her and the one she loves

I looked at Marie.

"I have no intention of harming them Marie, but as you know your cuffs must really hurt everytime you disobey me. I can remove them for you but first, you will have to do something for me.

I see that I may have upset her by saying this.  I know that Elizabeth is a,  at her core, good friend.  She is a person who normally keeps her word.  I am just afraid.  . Elizabeth, I do not want to upset you.  You are my friend and I love you dearly.  You promised me that you will remove this curse but I must do something for you first.    I am only asking that you remove it without the threat of harm.  You said that if I do not obey you, then  you reminded me about the pain these cuffs can cause me I hope that you can understand my caution.  Give me the choice to refuse you.  A request that I must obey before you will keep your promise.  I looked at Elizabeth hoping that she can understand what I am saying. Seeing this through my eyes.

I looked at Marie and I could see how much she wanted those cuffs off. I went over towards her and touched her on her shoulder.
"My dear Marie, has there ever been a time when I have not kept my promise? I will remove the cuffs, like I promised, but as you well know, the suspicions that these new Swedish Royals have with me, will make it difficult for me to do what I need to do.

Marie, I would require you to spy on Katherine Tudor and the Swedish Royal family, for I do feel they may plot something to try to kill me. Katherine at the moment is meeting with Charlotte's daughter, but the royals want me out of the way. All I want is for you to spy and report back with their activities and goings on. Find out about this Queen Mary. I need to know. Do this, and your cuffs will be removed. Disobey me however and you know what will happen. You do know your daughter is very pretty Marie". I said to her knowing that I had her daughter to use against her too.
