Anne Boleyn's Receiving Room

I had come to see my sister at Whitehall to inform her that Mary had asked me to accompany her to the Ukraine. I had also bought a gift for Anne as I knew she liked them and at how I teased her. As the maid opened the door and I entered I looked across and could see that Anne was upset. I went over to comfort her.

"Dear sister, whatever is the matter? Has something happened between you and Henry?

I cannot seem to give birth to a live son. He is most unpleased with me. I fear I may not last much longer with him." I say as I start to cry again.

I hugged my sister as she began to cry again.

"Sister, I am sure it is just a minor setback. You have a very fine daughter and it was an unfortunate experience that you had which caused the loss of your latest child. You are young and healthy Anne, many children will come. Please try to be patient and might I suggest that you dazzle Henry with this gift I have for you here with me, for I know how much he likes your jewels.
I say to her as I showed her the necklace gift I had for her but also teased her with it just out of her reach like we did as children together.

I snatch the necklace from my brother with a laugh. "Tis a very fine necklace indeed. Brother what if I turn out like his last wife and never have an heir to the throne?"

"I shall do that at once because my child is indeed heir to the throne. I should be accepted as full Queen of England. I will not allow anyone to doubt me."

I sent a letter to my sister Anne.  A man servant entered Anne's receiving room.  He handed her the letter.

Dear Anne,

I am sure that George or King Henry has informed you that I am in the Ukraine.  I met Prince Alexei Olegovna while I was at the coronation of King Gustav and Queen Mary.  We got along swimmingly and I found that we have similar interests. I asked King Henry if I could have permission to go to the Ukraine.  George escorted me there.  King Nikolai has given me his permission to marry Prince Alexei.  The King would like to meet you all so that he may speak with you. There are questions that he has.  I hope that you will give permission to marry.  I am happy with Alexei.  I have not been this happy in quite a while.  Please will you consider this match.

I write a letter back to Mary,

I shall tell King Henry that I approve the match.

Thank you for your approval to the marriage. I have told King Henry and the marriage. He suggested that I write to you and get your approval. The King of Ukraine has given me his blessings but would like to speak with you and the family. Thank you so much for your approval
