Meeting a new King

Bridgette heard there was the king of England coming to visit she wanted to see him herself. She walked along the courtyard hoping to meet him.

It had taken some months for all of the challenges to be put down so that his rule had been consolidated. AS the new King he had to open diplomatic relations with his neighbor France, as well as thank those who had supported him before he had invaded England. he figured that he would spend a few days in the capital, then perhaps a couple in Lyon, before heading to Brittany before he made his way home. He knew that he needed a guide, but not one of those hand-picked by the French government. He had no desire to be spied on for his whole trip.

Bridgette curtsy low once she saw the king along with her parents. "Welcome to France your Majesty."Her father said to the king.

Henry was no used to people recognizing him and giving him an open greeting, after all of those years he had been in exile and hiding. These three, though, did not appear to be much of a threat. In fact they appeared to be parents and a daughter, and the father had not only greeted him, but the young lady had curtsied. He then took her hand and kissed it lightly on the wrist in a gentlemanly fashion. "You do me great honor. Perhaps I will be honored to welcome you to England one day."
